Established in Dec 2014 in the north of the Uganda gorilla safari destination of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Community Haven Lodge is a very beautiful safari Lodge serving mid market travellers.

The Haven Lodge is a community run enterprise that was set up to serve more than the budget travellers on gorilla safaris in Uganda that they initially used to accommodate at Buhoma Community Rest Camp.

The Lodge is only five (5) minutes drive from the main road and close to the gorilla trekking assembly point Buhoma.

The panoramic position offers incredible views of the densely forested landscapes of Bwindi dubbed the Impenetrable where gorilla trekking in Uganda takes place.

Haven Lodge which started with three (3) cottages with one being family cottage has been and is still building more cottages in order to match the ever growing numbers doing gorilla tracking in Uganda.  All the rooms are en suite equipped with comfortable beds and linen.

The main area is spacious and houses a good restaurant serving up to 5 course meals with mixture of African and Western Cuisine to cater for the diverse interests of guests.

The bar is well stocked with a wide range of beverages.  The recharging facilities and complimentary tea/ coffee are available at the main area. Haven Lodge also features a backup generator and an artisan craft shop.
