The 16 of these species are restricted in range to the west of Uganda including the Lavoaswynnertonii that is globally threated.
Bwindi also features 214 bird species, 7 diurnal primate species, 120 mammal species and 202 species of butterfly Species.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after breakfast 527km about 10 hours’ drive from Kampala.
The driver guide will pick you up at your place of stay after breakfast at 6:30am heading to the south west of the country.
After 77km, you make a stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for amazing water experiments that demonstrates the geographical spread between the north and southern hemispheres. The place is also a unique center for photography.
You proceed on the drive enjoying the scenic countryside before making another stop at Igongo Cultural center for traditional lunch at the famous KahwaKanuzire restaurant before proceeding to Bwindi welcomed by the magical Kigezi Highlands and the Virunga ranges at a distance.

Day 2: Do Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via The Fascinating Kigezi Highlands For Evening Boat Cruise and Relaxation
After breakfast, you connect to the respective park headquarters to catch up with briefing starting at 8am. You attend to briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority Park rangers and this will also involve the gorilla family allocation.
You follow the set trails to the given gorilla family in the company of the Uganda Wildlife Authority armed ranger to search for the critically endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
You hike through the hilly forested landscape of Bwindi with verdant flora and fauna including the duiker antelope and counts of birds that have earned it a position as the number on birding spot in Africa by the Africa bird guide club.
Upon reaching the mountain gorillas, you are overwhelmed by these gentle giants foraging on the abundant unique vegetation before they halt to gaze at you or resolve to ignore you completely. The Silverback demonstrates its might by beating his chest.

Day 3: Drive Back to Kampala
Following a relaxed breakfast, embark on the transfer back to Kampala 437km about 7 hours’ drive. You enjoy the magical views of the Ugandan countryside including cattle farmlands, crop gardens and banana plantations before making a stop at Igongo Cultural Center for traditional lunch buffet 12km past Mbarara town.
Another stop can be made at the Equator for more photo shoots and souvenir purchase before continuing to arrive in Kampala in the evening to mark the end of the tour.
