Your short safari starts with a pick up from Kigali then transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri 113km away on a 2h 30minutes drive.

Driving past the beautiful countryside on the land of a thousand hills you arrive to the park latest by 8:00am for a briefing from the park rangers on the Rwanda gorilla trekking safari etiquette.

After briefing, and allocation of a gorilla family to trek alongside 7 other trekkers you then set off to the jungle where you take about 2-6hours though only a single hour in the presence of the gorillas.

Gorilla trekking is a bit tiresome and one needs to be prepared because its more of a hike though the group treks at the pace of the slowest trekker.

After taking memorable pictures and enjoying the best moments in the presence of the exciting gorillas you then descend back to the park headquarters. You meet your driver guide who transfers you back to Kigali.
