5 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On your arrival at the Airport, your safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park as he tells you about your safari.

This is 11 hours and it has about 559km. You will have lunch en route then dinner and overnight at the same lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You will have a briefing at the park headquarters after breakfast about the gorilla tracking activity. You will head to the forests to look out for the gorillas with the help of the game rangers who will pave your way and scare away the wild animals. You will have to carry packed lunch and water.

In the afternoon you can have the Batwa cultural experience for a short time where you will see their traditional dances, hear their stories, local food, and medicine,  then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via the fascinating Kigezi Highlands..

You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 3: Canoe Riding & Community Tours

After breakfast, you will embark on a thrilling boat cruise on the lake of a thousand Islands – Lake Bunyonyi exploring its main Islands and gaining remarkable sights.

You will also see different bird species like the shoebill, Short-tailed Warbler, eaglet and squirrels and so many others. Retreat to the lodge for relaxation & Lunch.

This Afternoon, you will hike t the top d the world-one of the highest hills viewpoint to have an incredible view of the terrain in the region including a sight of the Virunga Ranges and the Overview of Lake Bunyonyi and ALL her major Islands.

Here you have a sundowner evening tea/coffee break then retire back to your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo, Boat Cruise & Game Drive

You will have breakfast and then transfer to Lake Mburo National Park which is around 230km and it takes about 5 and ½ hours.

You will have lunch at the lodge and enjoy the afternoon boat cruise at the lake where you will see different birds and primates. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Game Walk, and Transfer to Kampala

You will then go to the lake to have the boat cruise where you can see animals like buffaloes, and the birds that may be taking a sip of water.

You will have lunch and then transfer to Kampala. Your guide will drop you at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe Airport.
